Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
Portable appliance testing — often called PAT testing — is the routine electrical safety check of any equipment that plugs into a wall socket. Paul takes care of it all on-site.
The PAT process
Each item gets a visual inspection followed by electrical tests using a calibrated PAT tester: earth continuity, insulation resistance and polarity where applicable. Items that pass get tagged; items that fail are flagged and reported.
