Workplace microwaves get heavy use and often have damaged door seals. Leakage testing checks the microwave is safe to use and not emitting radiation above the allowable limit.
What's measured
Paul uses a calibrated microwave leakage detector to measure emissions around the door seal, vents and housing. Results are recorded against each unit.
Alongside test and tag
Microwave leakage testing is usually done at the same visit as your regular test and tag round, so kitchen appliances are all checked in one go.
